QSO
QSO is a term derived from the Q code and means: "Can you communicate with ... directly" if it is a question, or "I can communicate with ... directly" if it is of the answer.
In radio amateurs, this code has been slightly diverted. It is no longer a question or an answer but rather an action, a state.
Thus, QSO becomes a contact, a conversation, a radio link. Commonly, we say that we do a QSO.
